Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
To provide manufacturing with incoming material and service the customer with the shipment of material in the proper container, at the time requested, with accurate paperwork and timely ASN communication.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  1. Responsible for providing direct guidance to Receiving personnel assigned to respective area of responsibility for day-to-day operational tasks.
  2. Accountable for the verification and accuracy of incoming shipments by comparison of items and quantities unloaded against packing slips or related documents.  Manage documents and correct any errors found.
  3. Oversight that all material is scanned and ensure a bar code and HU/FIFO date is placed on material.
  4. Responsible for ensuring all processes are followed for receiving damaged goods, ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to all departments within the plant.
  5. Create computerized pack slips and bills of lading for service shipments (internal and external).
  6. Perform physical tasks in connection with receiving of product, to include lift truck operation. Forklift license is required.
  7. Responsible for effectively coordination of Warehouse on Wheels and yard switching of trailers.
  8. Send advanced shipping notification (ASN) as required by the customer (VW, currently) and get confirmation.
  9. Works with accounting and planners to correct any incorrect receiving documents (via communication and follow up on off-shift).
  10. Demonstrates ability to work independently, problem solving, and troubleshooting within the department.
  11. Support FTZ requirements in Receiving. Items include but not limited to proper material receipt, seal management, stamping, filing and admission to the property of trucks and visitors.
  12. Support training and manning requirements to make sure only capable personnel perform Receiving duties.
  13. Ensure all clerk functions are completed daily, to include but not limited to:  yard sheet, Warehouse on Wheels management, MRO, receipts, RDR’s, and any future additional duties required.
  14. Responsible for 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) functions within assigned footprint of responsibility.
  15. Facilitate and represent department in the staging of pre-series material and responsible for material identification and rotation throughout the process.
  16. Ensure outbound dunnage is correct and all processes are followed to document condition of load is up to designed standards, to include file updated for photo and paperwork for shipment.
  17. Provide logistics coverage when needed during scheduled overtime and weekend rotation.
  18. Serve and represent the shift as a core team member for the physical inventory at fiscal year-end.
  19. Any other related tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

               Education:    High school diploma

               Experience:  - Minimum of two year’s experience in production environment

  • Shipping and Receiving experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to drive a forklift. License required.
  • Proficient in computers including Microsoft Office products. Able to learn SAP.
  • Good organization skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 25 to 35 lbs consistently
