To manage productive resources by planning and directing all aspects of production to meet or exceed all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale (SQDCM) goals and objectives.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all product is manufactured and produced to meet or exceed customer and company standards.
  • Review available workforce and make adjustments to maximize their utilization.
  • Develop business plans, including performance reviews and salary plans.
  • Manage day to day operations.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve processes and reduce cost.
  • Train and cross train associates to maintain a qualified workforce.
  • Plan and participate with engineering to ensure all product launches and changes are completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects such as Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Maintaining an effective workforce to meet company goals of schedule, attainment, quality and manufacturing costs.

Decision Making Authority

  • Makes all decisions related to the business unit in accordance with company goals, policies and procedures.
  • Provides feedback to other groups regarding continuous improvement efforts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of five years experience in manufacturing or engineering in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and human relations skills.
