We are seeking an experienced controls technician with 2-5 years of experience. This person must possess the ability to troubleshoot using the PLC as well as possess the ability to read and understand a voltmeter and other testing devices.

2-5 Years of PLC and 5 + years electrical experience preferred.

• Respond to production downtime events that require PLC/ Electrical support.
• Communicate with team members and leadership in a precise, professional, and respectful way.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/ electronic and pneumatics at a high level of expertise.
• Understand, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits from 5V to 480V.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints.
• Troubleshoot and assist in the repair ABB robots not limited to replacement of axis and other various components.
•  Integration and setting up of VFD’s as needed.
• Monitor and adjust equipment parameters to stabilize processes and maintain customer quality.
• Investigate and assist other departments with process and quality issues.
• Research, test, and purchase parts and new equipment along with monitoring existing stock.
• Utilize MMS to generate work orders and log performance.

Decision Making Authority

• Recommend and implement improvements to the manufacturing process to either improve component quality or reduce cycle time.
• Make decisions on equipment, programs, and fixture adjustments as needed, but always with safety and customer quality in mind.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or similar field
• Previous engineering experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Siemens PLC Programming TIA Portal knowledge
• ABB Robot programming knowledge
• Bosch/ Atlas Copco Tightening System Programming
• Vision system set up and integration is a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of DMM.
• Encoder knowledge
• Ladder logic
• HMI Proficiency
• AC/DC Power experience
