Core Responsibilities:

Controlling inventories and providing timely quality service to internal customers.                         

• To direct and coordinate activities of the Warehouse including safety, quality, planning/scheduling, and efficiently serving     internal customers.
• Responsible for continuous training for operators with attention to safety, quality, and process improvement.
• Communicate cross departmentally to identify areas for improvement, issues, or concerns.
• Responsible for conducting cycle counts periodically to maintain inventory accuracy and assist with annual inventory audits.
• Hold employees accountable for results and effectively conveys to associates what is expected of them.
• Administer the Warehouse management system in SAP for Benteler Steel/Tube Shreveport.
• To continually monitor and correct any errors with respect to inventory management or WMS.                                                      
• Responsible for managing material master identification system.
• Responsible for Warehouse KPI targets and associated monthly reporting.
• Oversee spare parts kitting process for planned maintenance work.
• Responsible for the logistics of equipment and material refurbishments.
• Approve material requisitions via internal system by verifying budget and cost codes.                                                                                          
• Other duties as assigned by management.   

Job Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2-year degree preferred.
• SAP WMS experience.
• 3 years management experience in a production facility is preferred.
• Experience evaluating and rating employees through a formal review process is a must.                                                                                                                         
• Warehouse management strategies (setting min/max stock levels, supply agreements, inventory turnover analysis, physical storage organization, etc.)
• MS Office (Word, Power Point and Advanced Excel) experience required..
• Excellent time management, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a Team oriented atmosphere and establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers, and management.
• Attention to detail.
• Adaptability (i.e., ability to work rotating shifts).
