Core Responsibilities:

• Create inbound and outbound orders.
• Manage dedicated fleet of trucks.
• Book and confirm inbound and outbound transportation based on Logistics Manager’s pre-approved carriers.
• Manage asset based and non-asset-based carrier base.
• Manage inbound transportation via railroad.
• Manage Transportation through TMS (Transportation Management System).
• Provide reports and updates to team for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Ensure proper SAP and Bill of Lading functions in accordance to SOP.
• Drive continuous improvement.  This includes steady increases in employee productivity, cycle time reduction, and lead time reductions.
• Assist Logistics Manager, operators, maintenance personnel, and coworkers as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping as needed in all working areas.
• Maintain all working areas in safe and orderly way.
• Complete any and all required training as necessary both classroom and computer based.

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS in Transportation Management or like discipline – or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with safety programs and incident accountability.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Must be familiar with TMS (Transportation Management System). 
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to organize and explain complex data in a clear manner.
• Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a Team orientated atmosphere.
