Primary Responsibilities

SQE:

• Contributes to the execution of the quality strategy and tactics and works on implementation regarding supplier quality.
• Assesses and qualifies new suppliers and requests approval at SQM/PMTA manager.
• Manages “Crisis” Supplier through on-site involvement, effective communication and collaborative, method-based problem solving.
• Coordination/ Organization of the Supplier Quality teams.
• Evaluates Feasibility Commitments and performs Technical Reviews.
• Manages the Supplier Nomination process.
• Assists on and eventually conducts process and product audits at suppliers for Shreveport and Houston.
• Supports plant quality staff and buyers on escalations and complex supplier complaints.
• Looks after quality targets with suppliers, monitors their performance.
• Works with dedicated Suppliers to improve Quality Performance and verifies the effectiveness of the actions.
• Looks after and guarantees the supplier quality requirements in supplier contracts.

PMTA:

• Looks after the Continuous Improvement activities in Procurement area.
• Looks after and assists on the implementation of processes, methods and tools.
• Supports on implementation and monitoring of enhancements for IT-Systems for procurement (SAP, SRM, eSourcing, Digitalization etc.).
• Monitors KPIs for strategic initiatives.
• Assists on training programs for the global Purchasing organization
• Conducts and monitors Risk Assessment of supplier panel
• Supports and follows up on quality audits (API, IATF, internal audit)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field, advanced education preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position; travel required (approx. 20%).
• Experience in manufacturing industry, preferably steel, tooling or metal components.
• Experience with quality management systems and audits.
• SAP & general computer knowledge required.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
• Good planning, organizational and communication skills; self-driven and must have the ability to plan tasks pro-actively and present and explain the quality matters in a clear manner to both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere with team building experience; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers and management.
