Job Responsibilities

Optimization of processes and plant equipment:                

• Responsible for management of the shift in terms of staff, production, and quality targets to ensure smooth operations. 
• Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
• To ensure that training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
• To maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.                                             

Organization:

• Effectively use a computer for data entry, reporting and word processing.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
• To play an active role in the Continues Improvement team.

Management:                                                                                                     

• Communicate with all team members (maintenance and production) to ensure good two-way communication on all issues.                                          

Job Requirements

• AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
• General pipe/tube finishing experience is preferred
• Understanding of data recording/acquisition systems such as IBA is preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and experience.
• Demonstrated capability of providing results through people, technology, and process.
• Basic SAP & general computer knowledge is required.
• Basic understanding of automated manufacturing processes.
• Be able to communicate and motivate coherently- both verbally and via written media.
• Understand principles of manufacturing.
• Able to work rotating shifts and extended hours on occasion when required.
