Core Responsibilities:

• Management of the General and Cost Accounting functions. This includes the establishment of Corporate Accounting policies, schedules and procedures and the assurance of compliance.
• Responsible for month-end close and year-end close including process, timeline, and quality.
• Development of Accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate audit functions, including year-end and internal audits, conducted, including ERP process reviews.
• Balancing local reporting requirements with Global standardization.  Organizing and implementing projects while meeting timeliness requirements for financial information.
• Accounting methodology oversight of Corporate and Plant Accounting. Authority to ensure compliance to Corporate/Global reporting standards.
• Responsible for the external reporting to the Louisiana State and authorities on a monthly, quarterly or yearly base (obligations to the state and authorities).

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or like discipline – or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Masters in Business/Accounting and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
• > 5 years experience in tax, accounting, and cost areas.
• Experiences with SAP preferred FI/CO module.
• Must be familiar with IFRS accounting standards. 
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English
