Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for optimizing the production system.
• Responsible for troubleshooting, advising, and eliminating any and all related issues while on duty.
• Assist in the development and implementation of work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
• Participate in down day, outages, and special projects.
• Participate in 5S, Lean MFG, and any other continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in “Root Cause Analysis” meetings to determine and rectify problematic issues in the process.
• Participate in all safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations.
• Be an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.

• Support of the plant installation and commissioning teams if required.
• Support of Factory Acceptance Testing “FAT TEST” if required.                            

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field is preferred but not required.
• Prior PLC programming experience required.
• Prior Siemens experience is a plus!
• Experience with industrial power systems is a must.
• Ability to organize and explain complex data in a clear manner.
• Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a Team orientated atmosphere.
• Strong safety awareness and experience.
• Demonstrated capability of achieving results through people, technology and process.
• The candidate must have a solid understanding of automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks .
• Have an understanding of and be fluent with data acquisition systems such as IBA.
• Have a solid understanding of the various signals involved in automation that will be required, such as encoders, load cells, 4 to 20ma, 0 to 10 vdc, etc.
• Have substantial experience with variable frequency drives and understand the theory of operation of the various subsystems.
• SAP & general computer knowledge not required but preferred.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers and management.
