Job Responsibilities

Her/his responsibilities will be:

• Investment projects, for example, increase of Q&T capacity and set up of threading center.
• Improvement projects, like scrap project, tooling project etc.
• Support during plant outages to guarantee technical specifications, timely sourcing, supply contracts, evaluate performance and define improvement plans.
• Specific assignments, like 360° improvement projects.
• Tender inbound/outbound logistics in coordination with logistics commodity manager.
• New supplier development for value-added products and services (threading, coupling, per guns and Q&T).
• Line reporting to Commodity Manager Tooling & Equipment and functional reporting to Commodity Manager Procurement Shreveport.
• Discuss and align projects with German Commodity Buyers/Managers, further project members and requisitioners.
• Works on as-needed basis with Houston sales organization, manufacturing, logistics, engineering and maintenance department for the projects and communicates with these internal interfaces on purchasing activities and execution of required alignments.
• Negotiates requisitions and investment requirements, assists on tenders and runs improvement projects.
• Monitors KPIs for the concerned projects.
• Communicates on regular basis project updates and minimally monthly.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field, advanced education preferred, preferably Master Degree.
• Minimal as working or combi student trainee in manufacturing industry, preferably steel, tooling or metal components and preferably one(1) year of experience.
• SAP & general computer knowledge required.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
• Understanding or affinity with Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
