For our division BENTELER Automotive, based in Guyancourt (78) - FRANCE,

             we are looking for one  :          

Project Engineer (F/M)

Business Unit Structures - Customer Line Stellantis/Renault-Nissan,

 Position available immediately

 

As project Engineer, we will have the full responsibility of the design of products, fulfilling customer requirements  and  fitting perfectly with Benteler process. You will be involved on all Structure product portfolio from pre-development phases until serial production. As project Engineer, you will be in daily contact with complete project teams and the main technical leader in contact of the customer Your work accuracy will determine significantly the success of projects, on all items (Quality , Cost, Lead-time, Product qualification)

 

Responsibilities :

•Responsible for monitoring projects at the technical level
•Defines technical guidelines and engineering specifications (drw, BOM,...) for design and cost estimation
•Defines development targets, as well as customers' requirements and prepares the internal requirement manual (IRM)
•Supports the technical assessment of suppliers
•Prepares approvals according to the Benteler PLM system
•Conducts tolerance investigations and develops dimensioning concepts
•Controls the feasibility and conducts design-FMEAs
•Plans and supervises the product development progress
•Participates in the preparation of testing specifications
•Plans and supervises prototype build, prototype tests and experiments
•Supports the value analysis and develops concepts for cost reductions
•Define development steps for products qualification, including reports either for internal or external
•Develops concepts and supports respective benchmarks

 

Profile :

•Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Good knowledge of design conception for metallic parts in Steel and  Aluminum
•Good knowledge of production processes as stamping , assembly, Extrusion
•Minimum 3 years of relevant professional work experience in similar function, ideally in automotive industry

 

To be a success in this role you must have :

•Excellent organizational skills, be accurate
•Be Curious and persuasive
•Be able to work in team, in international organization with leadership and interpersonal skills
•Have strong technical knowledge
•Fluent in French & English (mandatory)
•Some travels needed (domestic and abroad)
