As an Engineer (m/f/d) Autonomy V&V Infrastructure and Tooling, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tooling ecosystem that supports the verification and validation (V&V) of autonomous driving systems. This includes creating scalable CI/CD pipelines, simulation platforms, and tools for data handling, visualization, and analytics. You will focus on integrating multiple test platforms (SiL, HiL, and ViL) into a cohesive architecture to enable efficient, automated, and requirements-driven testing workflows. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability, efficiency, and traceability of V&V processes in cloud-based and distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Simulation Platform and Test Infrastructure:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable closed-loop SiL simulation platforms, including accurate vehicle and sensor models.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SiL, HiL, and ViL platforms into a unified V&V toolchain architecture.
  • Align simulation platforms with functional requirements and scalability goals to support V&V activities.
• Cloud-Based CI/CD Pipelines for Testing:
  • Build and optimize cloud-native testing pipelines for distributed and large-scale test execution, ensuring efficient use of computing resources and reliable data processing.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automated deployment, and feedback loops across software, hardware, and system domains.
  • Automate test execution pipelines to accelerate test case development and improve feedback cycles.
• Tooling for Analysis, Traceability, and Debugging:
  • Develop tools to ensure end-to-end traceability between test cases, test results, and system requirements.
  • Create advanced visualization tools to analyze simulation outcomes, evaluate KPIs/SPIs, and support root cause analysis.
  • Design automated pipelines for simulation result evaluation, enabling scalable comparison of outcomes against predefined criteria.

• Data Management and Analytics:
  • Design and manage scalable databases for test scenarios, simulation results, and evaluation metrics, ensuring secure and efficient storage.
  • Implement data analytics frameworks to assess the quality and consistency of scenario databases and simulation toolchains.
  • Enable integration of scenario-based data into reporting systems to improve test quality and coverage insights.

Desired Skills

• Simulation Integration Expertise: Deep understanding of how SiL, HiL, and ViL platforms interact within a unified toolchain for system V&V.
• Cloud Competence: Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Azure) and distributed systems for scaling testing operations.
• CI/CD Expertise: Strong skills in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and validation workflows.
• Programming Proficiency: Advanced skills in Python and/or C++ for infrastructure and tooling development, including automation and system-level scripting.
• Data Visualization and Analytics: Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Plotly, or Grafana for creating visual insights into test processes and outcomes.
• Database and Data Handling: Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and best practices for managing test data in distributed environments.
• Cross-Platform Tooling: Experience building tools for test execution, result analysis, and debugging across SiL, HiL, and ViL platforms.

Experience

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in simulation platform development, cloud-based infrastructure, or test automation tooling.
• Proven expertise in cloud architecture and distributed systems for scaling simulation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with simulation frameworks like CARLA, VTD, dSPACE, or similar.
• Strong familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline development.

• Experience with data management tools and workflows for handling large-scale testing operations
