About the Role

We are not just launching a new plant — we are building a future-ready automotive organization in Saudi Arabia. As part of a major greenfield investment by a leading German Tier 1 automotive supplier in cooperation with PIF, our new site in KAEC plays a key role in global supply chains supporting electric vehicle production.

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to support this journey. This is a hands-on role: you will personally execute and drive the core logistics and material planning activities described below, while simultaneously building the foundations for a scalable logistics organization.

As the site grows, you will build and lead the logistics team (structure, roles, onboarding, and capability development) and implement robust processes for both external logistics (e.g., Incoterms, port/harbour processes, customs) and internal logistics (e.g., materials planning and material flow to production).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Logistics: Materials Planning & SAP S/4HANA

  • Receive and analyze customer demand and ensure timely material availability for production.
  • Use SAP S/4HANA to create and manage material orders, monitor stock levels, and track material movements.
  • Communicate demand to suppliers and coordinate with transport companies to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Track inbound shipments in SAP S/4HANA and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of material orders, inventory, shipments, and planning parameters.
  • Prepare regular reports on material status, supplier performance, and delivery timelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and optimize inventory levels.

External & International Logistics

  • Manage and optimize external logistics flows, including international transport, ports, and customs clearance.
  • Ensure correct application and compliance with Incoterms and international trade regulations.
  • Coordinate freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor logistics costs, lead times, and risks and propose improvement measures.
  • Support logistics concepts for production ramp-up and future volume increases.

Process Development & Team Build

  • Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Warehouse teams to align material and logistics flows.
  • Contribute to building logistics and materials planning processes in a greenfield environment (concepts, work instructions, KPIs, and interfaces).
  • Build the future logistics team: define the target organization, support hiring, onboard and coach team members, and establish a strong performance culture.
  • Demonstrate strong, hands-on leadership: drive execution, resolve issues on the shopfloor and with external partners, and develop people as the organization grows.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics (external and internal) and/or materials planning in an industrial manufacturing environment (automotive is a strong advantage).
  • Proven leadership experience (line management and/or team lead), including building, coaching, and developing teams in a logistics and/or materials planning environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar MRP / ERP systems.
  • Strong, practical understanding of MRP, materials planning parameters, internal material flows, and production supply concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Incoterms, customs clearance, and port/harbour processes (including coordination with forwarders and brokers).
  • Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership soft skills (e.g., conflict management, giving and receiving feedback, delegation etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Key role in a flagship greenfield automotive manufacturing project in KAEC.
  • Professional development within an international Tier 1 automotive organization.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Long-term career stability and growth opportunities.
