Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve BENTELER’s long-term success.
  • Developing positive relationships and handling customers’ needs. Generating new sales using existing and potential customer networks                                                                                                                                                               
  • Act as the focal point of contact for your allocated customers and all matters specific to your accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Overseeing customer account management, including the negotiation of contracts and agreements to maximize profit
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of initiatives involved with to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop additional business with existing customers and /or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track account metrics (e.g. sales results, forecasts)
  • Prepare reporting as requested
  • Collaborate with other members of the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within your assigned area of responsibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (e.g. production, quality, product development) in order to develop and provide solutions to your customers
  • Enter order details into the SAP system and generate related purchase orders and order confirmations
  • Obtain regular status reports from suppliers / the mill, including external processors
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual sales budget discussions

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • BS/BA in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Good knowledge of Steel/Tube industry and customer base.  
  • Working experience with downhole tubulars (e.g. Perforating Guns, coupling stock, other accessories) is an advantage
  • Previous experience in similar role in the Steel/Tube industry is an advantage
  • 5+ years of Sales experience or some level of customer service experience
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Driving, yard inspections (just walking through customer or processor yards to visually verify the status of good and advancement of order completion, no lifting or other sort of physical effort will be required or allowed)
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Proficiency in Word, Excel & Power Point
  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel and databases is a must
