We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Leader to join our team and play a key role in managing and executing projects that directly support our valued customer, Ford Motor Company. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the successful launch and life cycle of automotive programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Execution: Guide project teams to achieve defined targets, ensuring milestones are met through clear tracking and reporting.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements in product and process development to improve efficiency and innovation.

  • Problem Solving: Serve as the primary resource for resolving project-specific issues; coordinate timely and effective solutions with internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Target Breakdown: Translate high-level project objectives into actionable tasks for team members, aligning efforts with overall project goals.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure clarity in project requirements, manage scope, and uphold customer and company quality standards.

  • Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular risk assessments, gate reviews, and status updates to proactively address potential challenges.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Ford representatives by serving as a reliable and knowledgeable contact.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to internal processes, standards, and procedures to maintain organizational integrity and successful project outcomes.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management or related experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Automotive industry experience strongly preferred, especially with 3–5 years supporting OEM customers.

  • Certifications: PMP certification preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools; strong understanding of automotive development cycles and quality systems.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.

 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Primarily a sedentary office role, although applicants should have comfort interacting in a production environment

  • Lifting or exerting up to 10 pounds.

  • Walking and standing required (e.g., during plant visits or customer meetings).
