Key Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate information technology processes and applications for automotive component manufacturing and Just in Sequence (JIS) automotive supplier facilities.
  • Manage and oversee the following business application technologies:  SAP, MES, SCADA systems, supplier portals, AS400, and Unix-Interfaces to third-parties. 
  • Direct daily operations of IT department and subordinate employees to analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards and set deadlines.  
  • Design and optimize business processes for information technology applications.
  • Manage IT projects to plan and coordinate project activity utilizing SCRUM. 
  • Provide budget oversight, assign work to IT department staff, and ensure projects are completed. 
  • Oversee development of software to track processes for production of automotive components by analyzing business processes in the SD, MM, PM, QM modules of SAP.
  • Provide direct support of the FI and CO SAP modules to business end-users.
  • Coordinate the implementation and monitor EDI solutions for customers and suppliers based on VDA, EDIFACT and X12 standards. 
  • Implement bar code labels to track production utilizing Zebra Applications and ZPL II.   
  • Support the development of SAP Enterprise Buyer Portal (SAP EBP).
  • Develop and implement high-availability production line control system AS400 and MES systems utilizing RPGLE, DB2, and MS SQL.

 

 

Background and Experience

 

Must have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or foreign equivalent and at least 1 year of experience as an IT Manager or substantially similar position performing all of the above duties at an automotive company with global sales in excess of $5 billion.
