BENTELER Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning and optimizing complex manufacturing processes to meet defined costs, technology standards, deadlines, and customer targets.

 

Position Responsibility

  • Plan complex manufacturing processes, considering production capacities and layouts
  • Create performance descriptions for equipment
  • Obtain offers for equipment and parts procurement
  • Conduct international construction meetings with machinery and equipment suppliers
  • Participate in the final approval and technical release of production and test equipment
  • Coordinate with internal and external tool and mechanical engineering companies
  • Develop new manufacturing processes
  • Support and advise product development from a technical perspective
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the designated area of responsibility

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of working experience in a relevant role
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Higher education preferred)
  • Previous Project Launch experience
  • Previous Program Management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within West Michigan
  • Preferred experience with ABB Robotics and ABB Robot Studio, Welding, and/or Controls
